Fern collection

Here’s a little update on a collection of prints I’ve been working on over the summer and have brought together to create my first ever themed collection - FERNS.

I’m sure you will agree that beautifully framed artwork can totally transform a room, or at least a little corner of it. Since I started making and selling prints I have loved seeing how my buyers have integrated them into their homes and hearing about what connected them to the print they chose - one unifying idea is that they wanted to infuse a space with a warm, vibrant nature-inspired spirit.

Ferns are a perennial botanical art subject, rooted in history and scientific observation from garden to glasshouse but captured here in a modern joyful expression.
I love the beautiful textures, repeating patterns and distinctive shapes of ferns, from the delicate and feathery, curved and frilly to the stately and tall and many of these are here in this new collection.

The images above give a flavour of some of the different varieties and the beautiful graphic representations that Cyanoprinting can create. The simplicity of the fern image looks so wonderful against the painterly, watercolour style backgrounds - a swirling wash effect of a whole array of blues and sea greens with occasional touches of coffee or olive green.

Each of these prints is an original never to be repeated original.

This is a picture of my studio wall as the collection was coming together which beautifully demonstrates the impact of hanging 2 or 3 pieces together in a space.
This collection will be available from Wednesday 13th October on the website
